Today, We gathered here to celebrate the opening of the 3rd Liberty International Movie Festival which was launched in 2021. I am heartened to watch that this festival becomes more rich in its quality and volume with the participation of oo films from oo countries.

 

As we all know well, this movie festival strives to materialize, through means of film media, a world where values of liberty and human rights freely flow without any intervention. Yet, contrary to our common aspiration, we still witness a grim reality where innocent lives are endangered and freedom is oppressed. Atrocities incurred by the Ukraine war is a clear testimony to such reality.

 

To the backdrop, every piece of art works presented by the film-artists around the world who cherish the cause of freedom and human rights should be esteemed highly. We must thank to those artists for their toils and courage, overcoming individual difficulties.

 

I wish today’s event will be a venue where all participating film artists and movie-lovers can enjoy. Let me conclude my remarks by saying that this film festival will work as an another precious cornerstone for greatly enhancing humanity’s universal value of freedom and human rights.
